Kausani: A Blissful Destination

If you are a zealous trekker, embark on a two kilometer that takes you away from the town to an enticing bright-yellow mustard field. The rocky trail leads to a valley where you can explore your way around hills, past the women herding cattle to reach the Rudrahari temple on the banks of the river. People believe that the cave temple was established after a mystic meditated there for years, which was also his residence.   
 
In the banks of Gomti river in Garur valley, located are the stone temples of Baijnath. According to the legends, the temples were built overnight by the Katyuri kings and if you find imperfections beautiful, the Baijnath temples are worth a visit.
